Grove Hospital has been closed to the public, effective immediately, after staff arriving for the morning watch found trees and vines grown up through the wards overnight, hospital administration confirmed to the Chronicle. By the accounts of those first through the doors, the growth was not there at the close of the evening watch and stood waist-high by dawn, with saplings come up between the beds and through the floor of at least two wards, roots lifting a stretch of the east corridor, and vines wound the length of the main stair and across several doors, in one case sealing a supply room shut, and hospital gardeners say no such species was ever planted on the grounds and that none of it grew from anything they know to have been there. All patients were moved out safely through the morning and are being received at the Vaelthir waystation infirmary and by private healers across the town, appointments and visiting hours are suspended until further notice. A hospital spokesperson would say only that the cause was under assessment and that the building would not reopen until it was safe and sound.
