Wendigo, photographed in the Wexamour meadowlands

Wendigo is a four-year-old female manticore and the most fun you will have with an apex predator in the whole of Wexamour, provided you can accept that nothing in your home will ever be clean again. She is bold, fearless, and completely unbothered by humans, elves, dwarves, half-folk, or any other manner of creature who has attempted to intimidate her. She plays hard and often; if nothing is available she will find something, so enrichment options are strongly recommended. She will eat anything. Her foster coordinator has documented her consuming three raw river fowl, a decorative candelabra, most of a wool rug, and what is believed to have been a small enchanted ottoman. She is also, at all times, dirty. The source is not always identifiable. What her foster family has not stopped doing is spending time with her, because Wendigo is a genuine delight: she chases, she tumbles, she greets everyone who enters as though they are the best thing that has ever happened to her. On rare and unpredictable occasions she will press her full four-hundred-pound frame against you and simply rest there, warm and rumbling, for as long as she decides. Her foster coordinator calls these moments worth everything. Interested parties should reach out to Grandma Windward’s Sanctuary by owl.
