A short notice for the outer reaches: Silverwolf High holds its spring prom this Saturday, and the school is putting out the call for a few more volunteers before the night arrives.

For anyone new to the board, Silverwolf is the high school in town. Prom is the one night a year the students are allowed to dress up and pretend to be civilised, and it does not run itself. Here is what the school still needs, per the sign-up sheet pinned by the gymnasium door: chaperones with a steady nerve and quicker reflexes, a decorating crew for Friday evening, two or three reliable hands to manage the refreshment table, and at least one brave soul for cleanup the morning after. No experience required beyond a willingness to stay calm while something with talons sobs about a corsage. The hours are flexible, the work is its own reward, and there will be cake.

For those of you still asking, the school has secured a returning DJ, and the school says she comes highly recommended, keeps to herself, and works exclusively after sundown. So mark the evening, mind the sign-up sheet, and if you can spare a few hours this week, the youngsters of the outer reaches would be the better for it. Add your name to the sheet if you are passing the gymnasium, or send it to the school by owl.

The Faded Lands Community Board collects notices, classifieds, and the occasional call for volunteers from the outer reaches. Sign-ups and questions may be sent by owl.
