The Wexamour Hydromantic and Atmospheric Administration (WHAA) has issued a flood advisory for the Rolling Downs region, effective immediately, following reports that the Fenwater River has exceeded its safe threshold at three monitored points along the southern basin.
Above average rainfall that has continued since the onset of the Silence, has pushed water levels to their highest recorded mark this cycle. WHAA hydromancers confirmed that the river crested overnight at Brannock Crossing near the Vaelthir Woods and is expected to remain elevated through the week.
Residents in low-lying areas along the southern Fenwater basin are advised to secure livestock, elevate stored goods, and prepare for possible evacuation if conditions worsen. Sandbag distribution points have been established at the Millhaven Grange Hall just outside Vaelthir and at Brannock Crossing waystation.
WHAA officials noted that this is the fourth advisory of its kind since the Silence. “The rain does not stop,” a regional coordinator told the Chronicle. “We plan for it, but the river does not care about plans.”
The advisory will be reviewed in 48 hours. Updates will follow as conditions change.
