HOTSCROLL: New master thread dedicated to Ikavelth Lugrathe’s disappearance, filed as case HS:IkaLg. Every hotscroll gets a case number for short, so tag anything related with it and it threads to the right place. Mods cleared the duplicate sighting posts. Everything goes in here.
BACKGROUND: If you are new to this hotscroll, here is the whole of the official record. The Chronicle ran four sentences calling it a “domestic disturbance” at the Chair’s residence. It said his daughter, Ikavelth Lugrathe, was taken to Grove Hospital for observation. The Chair’s office asked the public to respect a “private family matter.” That is everything anyone official has said.
Everything past those four sentences, we worked out ourselves. If you have not read them, start with the pinned threads, “The Lugrathe Disturbance That Doesn’t Add Up” and “Four Sentences and a Lugrathe Locked in a Ward.” The short version is that the story never held together, and the channel has spent two weeks on what actually happened in that house.
DEVELOPMENT (HS:IkaLg): As of this week she is not in the hospital anymore. Nobody announced it. No one official is looking for her, or if they are, they are not telling us.
SIGHTINGS: The evidence is a Concerned Citizen anonymous post made by a hospital worker, as well as comments in the abovementioned posts which were authenticated by mods and internal sources. Which means if anyone is going to find Ikavelth Lugrathe, it is going to be this channel.
RULES: Post sightings following Watchful Eye format (all posting rules are in the channel description). If you do not follow this, it is going to be deleted by moderators. Keep the theories and the arguments in the replies. If you have something solid, it goes here, not in a new thread.
LAST PLACED: Commonly seen with Ikavelth in Vaelthir on Thornveil routes near her address and along streets near VU.
CHANGE IN STATUS: Off every typical route since the week she left the ward. Nobody out here has seen him or her since.
SOURCE: Anonymous sources in Vaelthir and anonymous VU students.
CONCLUSION: Vitharen got her out of the hospital. Whether or not Ikavelth went willingly is unclear.
Um, actually, let us walk through this together, slowly, since clearly nobody else is going to. Three things. Try to keep up.
One. By every account she was badly hurt. (Evidence, since this channel is allergic to it: go read the Concerned Citizen comment on the previous posts. You are welcome.) So unless you sincerely believe a woman who could barely stand went sprinting across open country in the pitch dark, maybe, just maybe, retire the marathon theory.
Two. Whoever got her out did it quietly enough that no one has reported it and it did not turn the hospital into a circus. That is not a frantic midnight getaway, my guys. That is a calm, planned, boring little exit. Which tells you they had somewhere to be.
Three, and I genuinely cannot believe this needs to be said out loud. If you are hiding someone who cannot travel, you do not haul them across the entire region. You put them somewhere close and quiet and let them rest up until they are actually well enough to disappear for real. This is not a riddle. This is the most basic logic imaginable.
So no, they are not "halfway through the Lands." They are sitting still, close to the city, while the rest of you go chasing ghosts into the dead ground and pat yourselves on the back for it. Anyway. Do better.
So I started eliminating, because somebody has to. Inside the walls of Vaelthir, non starter, too many eyes, too much patrol. The Rolling Downs, also a non starter, because to get there they would have to walk straight through all of Vaelthir, which, as established two seconds ago, I already eliminated. The Whispering Groves are the ranger's home country, which makes it the very first place anyone with a pulse would sweep, so cross it off. That leaves the strip just outside the south gate of Vaelthir, right where the Whispering Groves green runs out and the Faded Lands begin. And along that road, would you look at that, there is a three way junction with exactly one abandoned house sitting on it.
